About Dr. nyuykonge
Building peace through dialogue, evidence, and experience
Dr. Nyuykonge is an international peace and mediation expert who supports organizations working to reduce conflict and strengthen cooperation.

With more than 2 decades of professional experience, I have worked with United Nations agencies, regional organizations, research institutions, policy institutes, and universities across Africa, supporting teams and institutions as they design dialogue processes, improve project performance, and strengthen peace initiatives at local, national, and regional levels.
My work style is collaborative and grounded in experience. I work closely with partners to ensure projects are clear, effective, and useful to the people they are meant to serve.

Experience That Delivers Measurable Results
From research to results‑focused practice

As time went on, I shifted from research to taking on roles in project coordination and leadership. I began focusing less on just producing studies and more on making project planning, management, measurement, and reporting better.
With more experience, my research became closely linked to monitoring and evaluation. I started focusing on results, progress, and practical learning, such as figuring out what works, what does not, and why results vary in different situations.
I help organizations create straightforward, practical monitoring and evaluation systems. These systems are designed so that anyone in the organization can use them confidently, regardless of their technical background.
I also provide training, technical support, mentoring, and coaching. My approach centers on real-world application, continuous learning, and making improvements based on experience, not just meeting requirements.
I believe information from monitoring and evaluation should always serve a clear purpose. This data can improve programs, support learning, build partnerships, guide advocacy, and meet reporting needs. During COVID-19, I helped organizations adopt remote monitoring and evaluation methods. I supported teams in continuing their work using digital and distance-based solutions.
